Am-Tex Employs Artificial Intelligence on 3D Seismic Data To Mitigate Drilling Risks

September 4, 2025 by Tony Moherek
Paradise AI

Rapid advances in Deep Learning (DL) and Machine Learning (ML) are available on the Paradise® AI workbench. Together – referenced as AI – are transforming seismic analysis. By using these new tools, geoscientists are supported with these workflows:

  • Stratigraphic Analysis: Identify thin beds down to a single seismic sample
  • Well Log Visualization and Crossplots: Compare well logs with the ML results
  • Lithofacies Prediction: Predict lithologies across a region from seismic and wells
  • Automatic Fault Detection: Produce fault probability volumes and analyze rapidly
  • Generate geobodies: Identify and isolate geobodies on results and calculate volumetrics

Below are a couple of illustrations derived from Paradise Data Analytics and AI Tools.

“Where oil is first found, in the final analysis, is in the minds of men. The undiscovered oil field exists only as an idea in the mind of some oil-finder. When no man any longer believes more oil is left to be found, no more oil fields will be discovered, but so long as a single oil-finder remains with a mental vision of a new oil field to cherish, along with freedom and incentive to explore, just so long new oil fields may continue to be discovered.”
(Wallace Pratt, 1952)
